Vampire Diaries

Just finished the Return: Nightfall and have to wait a month of so for the next book to come out.
So far: I"ve got to say the series isn't my favorite. It's not the worst but betting it are:

Anita Blake series
Vampire academy
House of night
Evernight
The immortals

If Elena, Stefan and Damon are the three main characters then I don't think Elena should have essentially gone missing from a whole novel, only for Stefan to then go missing for almost a whole other novel too! What's next? Damon is missing from the next book? And it's written in a combination of Elena's perspective and third person until she dies and then Bonnie takes over the narrating. Then the fifth book is written as the concurrent stories/p.o.v's of all the characters (not Stefan - he's missing). The whole series was really good until Elena died - died, as in vampire then died not coming back and certainly not as a spirit child! wtf? So book four without Elena didn't feel right or like it flowed with the first three and then book five was more than twice the length of the rest so it felt drawn out and jagged between two many different peoples p.o.v's.

I'll still read the next two books in the series because as much as some things started to annoy me (more about the writing style than the story itself) I want Elena and Damon together but then I don't want Stefan to be shafted.
So next up I think I will read The Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz

Thinking of writing again!

Seriously thinking of starting to blog again. But well with two little kids time for such things is short! I would love to be able to sit and blog reviews on the books i've been reading. My youngest daughter (8 months old) doesn't sleep well and that's putting it mildly so i read of a night in her room well i feed her and get her to sleep and i'm loving it. Diving deep into the story of a good book is an amazing feeling. So that's what I think I'll try to do soon.. blog about them that is. Write now i'm reading book three in the immortals series called Shadowland and it's really cool and a little different to the normal vampire/boymeetsgirl/boylosesgirl/boygetsgirlbackagain story.

Hot TV shows

I have been a neighbours girl since way back, so how did I get hooked on home and away???
Well thanks to Monday night dinners at rick's mums and my sister in law partner being addicted to sally big boobs, and the story line of course, I have now developed a liking to it.
Neighbours still kicks arse though!

Monday Nights:
The Rich List, love playing along, and seems to be an easy way to for contestents getting the Million.
The brothers, mmmmmmmm!!! What more can I say? Supernatural
Desperate Housewives, sometimes slow, but the shooting last week!

Tuesday Nights:
NCIS - very good show, love watching it with Rick.

Wednesday Nights:
This is a big night of tv
Heroes, amazing show, love how all the little storylines are starting to come together.
House - he's great. What a smart arse but he's good at figuring the cases out.
Prison Break - love the suspense and wentworth miller.
Medium - she is amazing.
24 - jack is the best ever!

Thursday Nights:
My name is Earl - ha ha ha what a laugh
Saving Babies - wow, amazing the stuff they do.
SVU - the best of all the csi type shows

Friday:
Smallville - Loved the dean cain teri hatcher series, love this one

BELINDA EMMETT 1974-2006

We have seen a few celebrities pass away recently but none make me as sad as seeing Belinda and Rove's life together come to an end. Maybe it's being a newlywed, I don't know.
Poor Rove, today he said goodbye to Belinda, well he probably did that on Saturday when she passed. I don't know how he will do ROVE LIVE and be that funny happy and quickwitted guy when his whole world has crashed to pieces.
What a beautiful touch to the service to have her song playing "Less than Perfect"
Rove wrote the following to be said on his behalf at the service.
"Not many people get their soulmate or a love that can withstand just about anything. Not many people find the one person whom they see a completion in themselves. I had that with Belle (Belinda) as she and I shared some truly amazing times, and I thank her for every blessed moment I got to have with her. I don't know what I did to be given the gift of Belinda Emmett, but whatever it was, I am glad I did it."

My heart bleds for Rove! Only eighteen months ago he married the love of his life and now on Friday he has to say goodbye to her in the same church the wed in. They were a beautiful couple, I always thought they would last forever too. The love they must have felt for each other to get married knowing she would one day die from her secondary bone cancer and that it would be one day soon.

Here's hoping their seven years together were full of beautiful and happy memories, enough to carry Rove through the rest of his life without her.

Last teaching round starts in ....3....2.......1

Ahhhh, final teaching rounds start tomorrow.
I have no idea what to expect. It feels like it's come around way tooo soon.

Not as bad as I thought....

My final placement for teaching, finally looks like it will all happen and be ok.
Only a few weeks back it looked like I had no-where to go and then somewhere not very good and then somewhere that was going to be crap. Now it all looks ok.
I'm aiming for a 20 out of 20. It has so-far eluded me, but not this time!!! I have year 7/8's and a year 9 history. Great classes. I haven't had the younger years yet so I can be fun and creative. The little ones are advertising and the year 9's are learning gold rush history. Would love to take the advertising kids to see an ad being made, that would get me a 20. wouldn't it??? I'm excited to teach these subjects but I dont have anywhere near enough time to do my projects and organise some work for the units. Hmmmmmmm......................
